    HISTORY

    El Globo Habitat Bank

The El Globo property was a traditional cattle ranch exploited since the 1960s, where trees were cut down, and the landscape was transformed into pastures. In the 1990s, the presence of armed groups forced the family to abandon the area until 2017, when they were able to return. Upon their return, they saw an opportunity to undertake a conservation project and contribute to biodiversity protection, leading to the establishment of the El Globo Reserve and its subsequent registration as a habitat bank.
